LATEST VENTURE: NEWCOMEN PRODUCTIONS are to make the film of Ray Stokes book "Emma of Lulworth Cove" as a community project in Dorset in September in collaboration with local drama groups and Bournemouth University Media Dept. We have already attached international stars such as Jennifer Sciolie, and top international directors, producers and film crew. We are waiting to hear from Emma Watson, Ed Westwick and Sir Sean Connery who would be perfect for the two lead roles and a one-day cameo part. But we have been unable to get a response from Sir Sean's agent about his availability, or the fee he would require. With his track record in supporting his own community and educational initiatives, he would be a perfect ambassador for our determination to produce high quality, non-offensive entertainment to the standard of a gentleman such as Himself.

PERSONAL HISTORY
Started working life as horticulturist. Research on light intensity in Arctic. Later purchasing, information technology, management, then landscaping in Africa.
Retrained as psychologist after spinal injury to become. executive officer for national charity promoting employment of disabled people. Later still, counselling on loss issues and self-esteem.
(Also did bed, breakfast and evening meals for lorry drivers and sang on club circuit whilst raising three lovely children.)
Life has never been dull...
Finally retired on health grounds in 1989 as I have had remitting/relapsing MS since I was 14 years old.
Continued as voluntary supervisor of trainee counsellors for Southampton University and other licencing bodies.
Now I keep active in my local community promoting enabling issues, counselling voluntarily and fundraising for Multiple Sclerosis Society.
In 2001 this included a 750 mile Caribbean sailing challenge round WIndward Isles, and North Sea and Scilly Isles laps of Round Britain catamaran relay. Great fun - like Lord Nelson I am usually seasick and I am also as blind as a bat! Channel Isles with MS Challenge in June 2002. Ambition - to take part in Spitzbergen Challenge, but saiing round Greek Islands will do for 2007.
Also help with wild-flower project and work with local and national special interest groups and charities.
I now live with my devoted slave, silver, our peach-faced love-bird, Bonnie and my black cat, Snugs.
For fun I entertain my family and friends, paint, write, sing, arrange flowers, sculpt, garden, swim, take gentle walks on beach and in forest, listen to talking books, play with my computer, play house in our summer caravan, do word puzzles and make mosaics. I have an active social life with a local Singles group and have just resumed an occasional spot singing Jazz with a very tolerant band at Ryde Castle Hotel.
Competent but rusty in several languages including French, Swedish and Finnish.
Now a doting Grandma and mother of happy and successful family. Still deeply involved in protecting the environment, working in the community and raising awareness of personal potential. Also studying for MSc. in research methods and research PhD. in Psychology of Alternate Sexuality
LIfe is still never dull....and it continues to get better and better....
2007 - learning Greek and Spanish. Co-producing community film initiative "Emma of Lulworth Cove", with Ray Stokes, author and screen-writer.
This is great fun- not only learning to schedule shooting, draw up budgets, book locations and engage cast, but the whole new world of film fantasy is at our feet.
To quote the song, "I don't believe there is anything the two of us can't do".
